Luxepitality Meets: Ana Filipa Rodrigues

Managing Director RM Guest House

Tell us a bit about yourself and your experience within the Hospitality industry

As a young child travel was an important part of my life, actually it was the highlight of the year. I always enjoyed meeting new people and cultures and after, so hospitality and tourism always felt right to me. After graduating I started working for a family orientated resort in a beach location, that’s when I realized I hit the jackpot career wise.

What makes RM Guest House different?

Fashion meets hospitality at RM Guest House. Every detail was thought to provide the best feelings and create unforgettable memories. RM Guest House is the summary of our best experiences in other hotels around the globe. Of course we added our own personal touches to it, creating an unique space.

What can guests expect from a stay at RM Guest House?

A welcoming and warmth home in Setúbal. Our team is committed in providing a home away from home feel. Each guest is unique and embrace and celebrate that, we will create custom made solutions to meet their needs and desires. We also have the most fashion rooms completed with personalised furniture and the softest Portuguese 100% cotton sheets. They will fell in love with our beds.

“Boutique” accommodations around the world are seeing a big surge in popularity. Why do you think this is?

More and more we are seeking unique hotels with cool attitude and relaxed atmosphere. Besides that, we are stepping away from tourist traps and we want to really feel like a local. Boutique hotels are just the perfect starting point to discover local gems!

What are your 3 favourite destinations?

This is a tough question, but I always say the next destination is my favourite one.
I am proud Portuguese lover, great food, different landscapes and a lot f history. So Portugal is definitely on my list!

Please tell us 5 things you would not travel without?

I always travel light. I always pack my glasses and a camera to register lifetime memories. Regardless of the destination, I bring sunglasses and sunblock too. I like to do sleep in full dark, so a sleeping mascara is must too!
